MORE THAN A MEAL
We value community engagement so together we can thrive. Therefore, we believe our meal providers provide so much more than a meal for our guests. Meal providers bring a sense of community and hope that the folks we serve need to heal and start anew in a safe and stable environment.
*If you would like to be on our email list for meal requests, please email tlehman@anewplacevt.org!
Important Details to know:
We want to give you a heads-up about some temporary changes that will affect how meals are prepared and delivered from July 20 through August.
KITCHEN UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
Our house kitchen and part of our living room will be undergoing renovations throughout July and parts of August. This means we will not have access to our usual kitchen facilities, so we are asking meal providers to plan accordingly this month.
MEAL FORMAT OPTIONS
Since we will not have a working kitchen or sink during this time, please choose one of the following formats for your meal:
Meals should be prepared to serve approximately 12 guests.
Hot and ready to serve, packed in disposable containers. (No containers will be returned — we will not have a sink for washing up.)
Individual single-serve containers that guests can reheat themselves using a microwave.
Meals that are easy to reheat with minimal prep, keeping in mind that our only available equipment is a microwave and an outdoor grill.
Meals prepared and cooked on-site using our outdoor grill (rain or shine — please plan for outdoor-only cooking with no kitchen access.)
Meal ideas: cold meals such as sandwiches, hearty salads with protein, and pasta/potato salads; takeout such as pizza or Chinese food; hot and ready dishes that are easily rewarmed, such as pasta dishes and casseroles with protein, grilled chicken/hamburgers/etc prepared on site by you on our grill.
ALLERGIES AND PROHIBITED FOOD: PEANUTS, SHELLFISH, AND POPPYSEEDS.
DROP-OFF INSTRUCTIONS
Our front door will not be accessible during construction. Please use the following drop-off process:
1. Park in the driveway.
2. The back gate is right at the back of the house — it will be unlocked for your arrival.
3. Bring meals through the back gate - if you arrive between 6-6:30, someone will be expecting you and ready to receive the meal. If no one is waiting, please knock on the back door. Call 802-862-9879 ext. 1007 if you are having any trouble getting in.
If you have any questions about your scheduled meal date or need to make adjustments, please don't hesitate to reach out. We truly appreciate your flexibility and your generosity during this exciting time of growth in the house.
Please reach out to our Volunteer Meal Coordinator with any questions at noblenh@gmail.com.
